COVID 19 Update- Amendment to Terms And conditions of Trade
Due to the current situation with the CoronaVirus, CVM Ltd is issuing an amendment to its Standard Terms and conditions of trade to include the following ;-
Drivers will not ask for a signature on collection / delivery on either electronic device nor Paperwork.
A full name of the person releasing / accepting the vehicle will be obtained by the driver at the Time.
Any discrepancies noted by the receiving point MUST be informed to CVM Ltd Immediately, before our driver leaves site
CVM Ltd will NOT accept any liability for any damages etc to vehicles once the driver has left site, other than what is listed on his Paperwork.
Use of this site constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions, which take effect immediately on your first use of the site. Commercial Vehicle Movements reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time by posting changes online.
CVM Ltd requires a written request, either by fax or email prior to any order being accepted. Our operations team will then confirm this request. Upon receipt of the customers order the full terms and conditions set out in this document will be applicable.
Where a purchase order number system is in place for payment of an invoice, it must be provided prior to the confirmation / completion of any movements.
All requests must include full collection and delivery details, Inc postcodes and contact numbers and vehicle details.
CVM Ltd will endeavour to ensure that the order is completed within the time frame specified in the order, however, CVM Ltd will not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its control, i.e. delays or cancellations caused by adverse traffic or weather conditions.
CVM Ltd will provide a price for delivery/ collection at the time of order and this price will usually be the standard delivery price only, this price will not usually include fuel or vat at the prevailing rate. Customers who wish for an all-inclusive price must request this at the time.
CVM Ltd will advise of any extra charges that may be applicable to the delivery / collection request at the time of order, i.e. hire car / night out allowance / toll fees etc.
CVM will cancel any order without charge to the customer, if the cancellation is received at least 24 hours in advance of the required date. Cancellations / aborts less than 24 hours in advance will be charged as below.
Failed / aborted collections / deliveries
CVM reserve the right to charge an aborted collection / delivery charge of the agreed costs at the time of order plus any extra cost incurred due to the cancellation. This also applies to vehicles aborted at the time of collection for any reason the vehicle is unavailable.
CVM Ltd will insure vehicles in our possession up to a maximum of £500,000.00 against accidental damage caused by the driver during the delivery of the vehicle. This cover is limited to damage caused by driver negligence only and does not include the exceptions set out below.
Exceptions to damage liabilities
CVM Ltd will not be liable for costs incurred due to the following situations:
- Damaged / chipped windscreens during transit
- Damaged /chipped paint / bodywork due to road conditions during transit
- Damage to Tyres during transit
- Engine / mechanical failure during transit
- Loss of Hire / use charges arising from vehicle damage whilst in our care.
- Any incidental costs / expenditure arising from accidental damage whilst in our care.
Breakdown cover / Costs
CVM does not provide breakdown cover for any vehicles in our care.Customers must ensure that cover can be provided in the event of mechanical breakdown, any costs arising from such an event will be the responsibility of the customer.
